Suspects for assaulting Mr.Freddy Gamage on June 2nd had taken the service of a President counsel to request bail from the court on July 12th . Under any conditions bails were requested by them after explaining their points for about one and half hours.
The Suspects were given 2 cash bails worth Rs.10000 and 2 personal bails worth Rs.50000 after concerning the time they were in custody.And also they were ordered to be present at the North Western Criminal Investigation Department end of every month.
“As one suspect was a jobless person and the main suspect was just a minor occupant of the Negombo Municipal Counsil, they can’t afford a President Counsel to be present at the court for requesting bails” Mr. Gamage said after the court session. ” My statement about black money behind this incident is confirmed again” Mr.Gamage said further.
Mr.Dantha Niranjana and Mr .Chamara Jayasinghe represented victims.
