Identification parade to identify two suspects who assault Mr. Freddy Gamage at the Negombo Municipal Council Premises held today.And Mr.Gamage identify them as the suspects that assault him on June 2nd.
” Only these two suspects should not be accountable for this attack, the politically powered mastermind should be taken into consideration and start tough investigations on him is a must” said Lawyers representing prosecution. If these two suspects gets approve for the bail application by them it will surely influence for the investigations, lawyers further said. And at the movement all professional journalists,International media organizations are looking at the Magistrate about his decision on this incident,they added.
And the Lawyers representing defense party tried to prove that this attack is done because of a personal reason and the defense party said that they are ready to accept any bail condition.
After concerning both parties Magistrate Mr. Ruchira Weliwatta said, this attack which occurred at the Municipal Council Premises is surely a well planned assault.”By concerning this, there are more suspects to be arrested on this attack,make them present to the court after impartial and wide investigations on this” Furthermore he said to Negombo Police. And after that he refused the bail application by the defense lawyers and ordered them to be in custody till june 28th.
