Two suspects for the assault to journalist Mr.Freddy Gamage had taken to Negombo Magistrate court today(June 14) for the identification parade.
Two lawyers,Mr.Dantha Niranjana and Mr.Chamara Jayasinghe representing victim Mr.Gamage informed that Mr.Gamage had admitted to Sri Jayawardenapura Hospital for further medical investigations on his Ear and Eye. (Ward no 11). After concerning this Magistrate stated that “attacking a professional journalist is not a small thing” and rejects the bail request by the lawyers representing defence. Next case date will be on June 21st and two suspects are ordered to remain in custody till june 21st.
