Batti signature campaign against the attack of web journalist Freddy Gamage

A signature collecting campaign against the  Convener of Media freedom and Professional web journalists” association Freddy Gamage was attacked by two persons at outside of  the Negomba Municipal Council.

The protest was organized by Batticaloa District Tamil Journalist observed two minutes silence in memory of those  journalist who had lost their lives at close to Batticaloa Gandhi Park yesterday (17).

Two suspects have been arrested at the over the attack on the journalist but the brains behind the attack have not been apprehended.

Batticaloa district T N A Parlimentarians S. Yogeswaran, S. Viyalendran, Eastern province Agriculture Ministure K. Thurairajasingam, Deputy Chairman Prasanna Indrskumar, Provincial Councilors R. Thurairatnam, M. Nadaraja, G. Krishnapillai, former parliamentarians P. Selvarasa and P. Ariyanenthiran were the signatories at the petition.
