Chameera brought Negombo to the Cricket world cup history

A cricketer who is living in Negombo city, getting the opportunity to participate in the cricket world cup tournament 2015 is a great proud for the city and for all Negombo citizens.As a respect for him the Sigiri play club has posted a banner with digital letters expressing his affection and pride in the sigiri road where his home is situated.

Pathira Wasan Dushmantha Chamira was born on 11 January 1992 to Ajith Hemantha and Deepa Fernando in Ragama.He has attended to Montessori in Ranagama and had come to Negombo with his parents.He had done primary and secondary stages in Harischandra college in Negombo and has come to Marsiella college for advanced level.From his childhood he was very clever in cricket and since 12 age he became a glowing star on the pitch.And his best balling was scored under 12 age in Harischandra college against Royal college Colombo as 8 wickets for 31 marks.He was good at cricket as well as in athletics.He has won many victories in running and field events.He was very clever with the ball as well as with the bat.When he was representing the school he played as the first batsman also.As he was very clever in cricket, after he entered the Marsiella he could go to the national level also.After schooling he entered Negombo Leo club and later in 2012 entered in N.C.C club and had sharpen his skills.Then representing Sri Lanka A team he could make his background to enter the national team.In sri lanka premier league tournament ,under the leadership of Mthews he represented Nagas team.Later as his first ICC match ,he played against Newzelend in Welinton and recorded the fastest ball of the day and marked his first wicket in ICC
