The Castle Hospital for Women at Borella has taken steps to establish the first ever Semen bank in the country.
Hospital Director Dr. Ajith Danthanarayana said it is the first ever Semen bank in the country.
He said the services provided by the Semen bank would be strictly private and confidential.
Dr. Danthanarayana further said female individuals could donate semen to the bank and that they would be subject only to a medical examination. He said the identity of the individuals who donate semen would not be revealed under any circumstance.
